Help mamas! Super painful nipple.

Hey ladies, I need some help. The last few days, my right nipple has become very sore and when my son breastfeeds, it's extremely painful. Once he's on and has a flow going, the pain dies down a bit. It looks a bit irritated, but it's not really red or anything. I've been putting my bamboobies nipple ointment on it.

I thought maybe it was thrush, but it's stayed isolated to one side and my son has no symptoms. I did have a clogged milk duct and a bleb last week, maybe it's just irritated from that? My son is also teething so possibly he injured just one side during a feed?

I have no insurance so I'm trying to remedy it at home before I take the hit of paying for a visit out of pocket. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I'm desperate for any kind of relief, nursing feels like broken glass at this point. Is there anything over the counter I can use?
