Who's starting baby food at 4 months?

My sons 4 month appt is Friday and I'm going to talk to them about it. I just don't want to get shit from other moms about it. We're EBF right now but I'm excited to get him started on things slowly and I think it'll help me get out of the house sometimes lol.

I started my lo on baby food at four months she'll be 5 months in two weeks. She does awesome with it. My dr gave her the ok and we went with it. She is ebf as well.

We were told to wait until 6 month well check appointment. So we are. He goes to GI as well, and it was also confirmed there-- what other way could I be rest assured that I was doing the right thing than by being told by the GI doctor. We are waiting as we've been told the body isn't quite matured enough to handle the solids. I think we've been doing okay with just breast feeding :) I'm not in a hurry to hurry my baby. Only a baby once :) this is my 3rd and could very well be my last. I'm cherishing every moment little by little. Everyone has different recommendations and medically some have to or need to start earlier than the "norm". If you are comfortable with starting, then hop to it! I know my first I was so ready! I'm 10 years down the line now and I'm trying to savor my baby while I can. They grow up way too fast (always been told that and it is toooo true).

My pediatrician told me I could start him on baby foods, so I did. He was ebf before baby food as well. He does well with food. I trust my pediatrician (he was my pediatrician when I was a baby) and my son seemed very ready for baby food.

Our pediatrician gave the ok but we just aren't comfortable with it yet.  My fiancé wants to wait until she is like a year so we compromise md yesterday on six months lol Do what makes you comfortable.  It's your baby after all
