Requesting more adventurous sex...

So I've tried talking to my boyfriend about changing it up in terms of toys/positions. He doesn't seem to up to it, we always stick to the classics (missionary, doggy style and cowgirl) and don't get me wrong I love those too. However, I want to try new stuff! I've told him so different positions that would love to try but they never come to fruition in the bed room. Do any of you have some tips about how to get him as excited as I am about getting freaky??
