boyfriend changed...

My boyfriend lives far away from me and he has a busy schedule he comes ones or twice every month on the weekend, he use to always tell me he loved me and missed me and now he doesn't say it to me at all, hell only say he'll love me if I say it first, when I tell him I miss him he says I'll see him someday but he never actually tells me he misses me, I always tell him he doesn't care but he says he does miss me he just don't tell me to be sad... should I belive him or do y'all think he should be able to say it...
