At what age do you turn baby forward facing?

This has become the great debate in my house, my SO says our son is big enough to turn around and u think we should wait till he is 2. (I think he just want the seat around because our son is less fussy that way but safety is first).

Rear facing is 500x safer than forward facing. Most laws are outdated and say it is fine at 1 year. My 2 1/2 year old is 31lbs and 36 in tall and still happily rf and will continue to be until she maxes out her convertible car seat so at least another year.

Most state laws are 2 years old. The longer they rear face the better. 1 is way too young

Our doctor gave us papers on when it was good to turn kids around. It says 30 pounds and atleast 1 year of age. My son has been in forward facing for 1 month and he's 1y 1m 33lbs and 37inches tall. He's a very big kid. Just check with your doctor. They will tell you when it's best.
