D&C saved my life

It sucks that I lost my baby and had to go through the D&C today but the doctor said it just might have saved me. They tried sedating me with IV meds but my body would not relax enough to stay still so they had to put me completely under and put in a breathing tube. Not the start anyone hoped for. Once I was out they started the procedure. What was suppose to last 10-15 mins lasted over an hour. The baby was only 9weeks but my uterus was doubled that size and was completely filled with blood. They said it was on the verge of rupturing which could have caused severe internal bleeding. After the procedure was done it took forever for the bleeding to be controlled to the point I almost needed a transfusion. Everything is going okay now. I'm back at home and the doctor said that I should still have a normal recovery period. I miss my baby but I'm glad that I'll be able to recover normally and the doctor said I can start trying again in 3 months.
