Implanted Birthcontrol?

So after my baby is born, I plan on going on birthcontrol. I have a hard time remembering to take regular medications let alone bc pills. The idea of getting an IUD doesn't appeal to me at all so I started looking into the one they implant into your arm. I've done my research but I want to get some real life opinions from people who have used it or are using it. My periods were always weird in the past and orthocyclen was the best bc pill I have ever tried which makes me feel like my body may be picky so, the more information the better.

Please tell me how it effected your body, your periods. Basically, tell me everything you experienced when you first got it and how it does you now or before you got it taken out.
