I NEED HELP!

Just went to my new family doctor so that my family could have a doctor that we call can go to together after baby is born. Well my doc there told me I need to get the Tdap shot before baby is born. I'm 25 weeks and I've​ been going to my other doctor which is my baby doctor and they haven't told anything about any kind of shots. I don't want to get any shots while pregnant that is why I haven't even got a flu shot. Some mom's say not to get is some say you need it. My mom said she never had to get it with either of me and my brothers. Is it very necessary or just something new there trying to push on mom's?????! Help!!

My doc said I need to get it between 28-34 wks
