What does he mean

I've been talking to this guy for just under a month and he gives me mixed signals.. he tells me I'm gorgeous and that he's tryna win me over but then turns around and says he doesn't like me in that way. He picks me up from work and takes me out, calls himself my hubby and then is a little stand offish when we flirt. What does this mean.. im confused cause maybe he's too shy to come out and say he likes me cause I'm a very playful person and joke about EVERYTHING
