Is it odd??

Question

Is it odd for me (20 year old female) to shower with my (almost 8) year old sister? I only see her every other week and she is a stubborn turd and doesn't like to bath or shower but she prefers a shower. The only way to get her to take one lately us if I shower with her so I can wash her hair for her. I make her wash her own body and I wash myself, I strictly clean myself. Nothing sexual or anything ever happens, it's simply us getting clean and actually getting her to take a shower. I'm just wondering if it is wrong??

I don't like the idea. She's 8. Why isn't she wanting to shower without someone? I think that part needs to be addressed. And she should be learning how to do these things on her own. My personal thought is there are things about a 20 year old body that an 8 year old doesn't understand or need to be concerned about right now. Maybe try just sitting in the bathroom with her and talking to her while she has her privacy in the shower instead of actually getting in there with her

An almost 8 yo is old enough to bath or shower on their own. If they have very long hair they may need some assistance rinsing out.

Like the other commenter said, I think why shes not wanting to bathe/shower might be an underlying issue that needs to be addressed. She's a little old to feel the need to have someone with her in the shower. But besides that, you're just showering, and she's washing her own body by herself, so I see nothing wrong with it per se.

She's your sister and so long as its not made sexual it's fine! Its only wrong when it's made wrong.
