What's with the wedding rings?

This is a srious question and not meant to bash anyone. I am genuinely curious.

Why do some women post their test pics with their wedding ring beside or on it?  What is the point of that?

Before reading about focusing the camera I always thought it was a way to show people that they did it up all proper and got hitched before making babies. 😂😂

I've always wondered the same. And to read the comments I don't see how it helps focus on the test line. Not when you have these rings around it. I don't find it a cute way to announce or a focus helping mechanism. But that's my opinion. To each their own.

Surprisingly, tapping on your phone screen where you want the camera to focus works fin too. So idk why people go to the effort of using their rings 😂

But if you pull your phone or camera back just a bit it will focus better. Or put the test in a darker background....

It gives your camera something to focus on so your picture isn't blurred. For most here it's not used as "a cute way to announce."

It cuts the lighting out from all angles. If you hold some tests in the light you can get a misread. Most phones have a focusing feature but even then it won't cut out the light. That's why it started. Some women may use it for other reasons but that's all it was really for.

It helps the focus..... I personally put a bobby pin but it does help the focus
