PLEASE ANY ADVICE WILL HELP SUICIDAL EX

Okay so my ex keeps messaging me every so often about how she is suicidal and doesn't wanna live but she stays around because of her nieces and nephews. I'm unsure if it's a cry for attention or if she is being serious and actually needs help. She is depressed I know that for a fact and we recently had a friend pass away from suicide and I know it effected her a lot as it also did me should I be worried she is going to do something or is she just saying this stuff for attention?
