friend won't hang out with me bc of her boyfriend

I'm recently single, therefore I have time for friends and whatever I want to do . I have a friend that has a boyfriend whom she lives with yet any time I want to hang out she won't because " he won't let her " or " she wants to spend time with him" i understand they both work and she goes  to school, however they do live together . I was the same way I did this to my best friend while I was in a relationship but it just sucks being on the other end . She literally read my text asking if she wanted to see a movie and didn't reply .
