Is saying #menaretrash hate speech?

As a followup to Zoie's post, it looks like Facebook has taken the liberty of removing the #menaretrash posts from their site as they claim it falls under "hate speech". This would be all fine and dandy except many of us have reported literal hate speech and they haven't done anything about it.
