I don't understand why is he so mean to me

My husband is so mean to me like I never had someone so mean to me he makes me hate life and wanna end my life I have been with him for almost 9 years and I love him to death I know I sound dumb saying this but I really love him and pray everyday he will change like just now I asked him hey did you have a good work out when he got home and he said "SHUT UP BITCH" every time I talk to him he says don't talk to me shut up and cusses me out and calls me name and infront of people he try's acting so innocent
