Pink spotting

So my husband and I did the deed last night and it was the last day of my fertile window, after we were done he mentioned that he thinks I started my period BUT it was definitely NOT my period.... it was VERY light pink, this morning it's not happening anymore, that was the first time it had ever happened to me and it has me a little worried. So my question is has it ever happened to anyone before and what could it mean?
