A conundrum

Ugh! What should I do? My amazing aunt is coming from California (only see her every couple of years), and my parents are traveling 4 hours so we can have a family get together. All plans had been made weeks ago, flights booked, etc. Just found out TODAY that my dear friend is having a baby shower the same day (June 17). Said invites weren't being sent out for a few weeks and wanted to give me a heads up.

Some extra background on friend....it is her 5th baby, but completely unexpected and she had gotten rid of everything expecting to be done with babies. Her youngest is 10. She divorced the daddy of the 4 and current BF (and baby daddy) is pretty sorry and someone my husband doesn't prefer us to be around. I feel like the right thing to do is be with family since friend lives in same town, but feel incredibly guilty because we aren't as close as we used to be with all circumstances.
