Cosmetic sales associate?!

Question

Tomorrow I have an interview to be a cosmetic sales associate for Dior at Dillard's .. The lady basically approached me an asked me to work for her... I have no retail experience though and im unsure of how to transition from lifeguarding to going to school/ working as a cosmetic sales associate. Any tips?! Also WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?! And how should I wear my makeup? Should I play up my lips?

Keep make-up neutral and age-appropriate. Whatever foundation you wear, subtle champagne/brown eyeshadow (no crazy smokey eye), a little black eyeliner if you wear it, mascara, and a pink/coral lipstick, I'd stay away from bright reds for the interview. Skip the blush if you're not used to wearing it, it's easy to put too much and look a mess! I'd wear black slacks for sure and a nice top, doesn't have to be black. Always best to be on the more modest side for an interview. If a top doesn't have sleeves, wear a cardigan. Dont worry about not having experience; what's most important in sales is having an upbeat attitude and positive energy! If you have that and show genuine interest in learning about and working with cosmetics, you'll nail it!!
