Cloth diaper rubbing daughter raw
We just started cloth diapering yesterday. We used cloth diapers during the day then a disposable at night. Yesterday her labia started to look a little raw so I put some coconut oil on it. It's not a rash but looks like it's chaffed. Today it's really raw and she's only gone through one diaper. I read tons of blogs and stuff on Pinterest but nothing ever mentioned this. I have always been diligent about changing her diaper because she is so sensitive. Yesterday I changed her cloth diaper around every two hours or so. Earlier if it felt wet. Today she was only in it for an hour and a half before I noticed it got wet and changed her.
Could it be from the diapers? Or is it too tight? We can only use water wipes or organic wipes on her or she gets a rash. Even pampers sensitive wipes make her bright red. We use free and clear detergents or dreft so I don't think it could be that, but possibly. The inserts are also organic bamboo. But the diapers are Alva. In the past honest co diapers are the only ones that don't make her rash up but they're getting expensive. Anyone have an insight?
