Should I stay away from baby while sick?

I have what I assume is a stomach flu, I started feeling sick about a day and a half ago, my daughter stayed with my mom yesterday (she is almost 5 months)
today I still feel under the weather but I am not puking anymore. I'm wondering when she can come home and how to keep her from catching it as it has been pretty awful. 
I miss her but I read that stomach flu is contagious for quite a while. Also she is not breastfed anymore.

Nope. If you are nursing you keep on nursing because you are giving baby the antibodies to prevent her from getting your illness.

I think we all go through a time where we're sick with our babies. It's worrisome but not much you can do I've had a sinus infection and horrible cough for over a week and the only place my baby will sleep is with me, so it's been hell, but amazingly enough breastfeeding has kept my LO from getting sick!

I bought a box of hospital masks, & when my husband or I is sick, we wear those when holding baby.
