Glasses as an infant

Ladies, I went to have my son's 6 month the k up and they did a vision screening. The test came back with one eye farsighted and the other with a slight astigmatism, so they referred me to a Pediatric Opthalmologist. We went today and the Dr said his eyesight is 'pretty bad' and he needs to wear glasses and be seen every 3 months from here on out!😭 I feel like I've doomed him to glasses for the rest of his life....hes only 6 months old. I guess I just need some support. Do you have experience with this?
