Raleigh, NC

I moved to Raleigh, NC a year and a half ago from Boynton Beach, FL. Originally I'm from Brooklyn, NY. I am still unfamiliar with the place as I am self employed and work remotely from home. Is there anyone from Raleigh that can give me tips on places to go and/or a good place to meet new people? I need to make friends and really start to familiarize myself with the area as I do not plan on leaving because my boys, ages 12 and 8 love it here. Help me please!!!!! Lol
