Don't have Babies R Us deliver

I just wanted to share my story about babies r us.

We ordered baby furniture over 2 months ago. First we were told they would deliver in 6 weeks, after I called in, they couldn't even find my order. Once I got that resolved they said they would call when the furniture came in to schedule delivery.

The delivery driver called and sounded like he was drunk or on drugs. I wrote it off and after 20 minutes of listening to him ramble he choose to pick the time of Friday from 4-8.

On Friday, I took off work early to make it home for the delivery. At 8pm he calls to say he is running late and can deliver at 930pm or schedule for 3 weeks from now. Of course I choose 930.

930 rolls around and no furniture, but toys r us sends me an e receipt email that i picked up my stuff, at the store 30 min away...

At 11 pm... yes 11pm we receive a call from the driver, he wants to show up in the next 20 min to deliver. He's barley understandable, I'm assuming he went out and got drunk. At this point my husband is furious assuming he's just going to rob us or worse. So we tell him to take our stuff back and we will be picking it up ourselves and for him to never go near our property. My husband spent all night cleaning his guns and sitting up with our German shepherd watching the driveway. Ugh.

So now I'm waiting for the store to open so I can file a formal complaint and arrange to get a refund. If I would have known what a mess this would be, I would have just sent my husband to pick up the furniature from the store. I don't think we will be doing business with toys r us anymore after this experience.

So please beware, don't let them deliver, it's a nightmare.
