My SO and I went shopping with LO the other day, it's about a 15 min drive home and when we got back I realized I buckled her into the carseat but a didn't belt the carseat 😣😣 I feel like a terrible mom thank God nothing happened

I forgot to buckle him in his seat once because he fell asleep on the straps at a restaurant. I felt guilty about that one for a while. And yesterday we heard sucking from the backseat, turned around and my SO had apparently forgotten to buckle the chest buckle because that's what he was sucking on.

I did this yesterday leaving a hotel while out of town, I'm use to a base and just clicking it in. Luckily I was sitting in the back with her and realized before we go to far! Good life lesson I guess.

My other kids have unbuckled the seatbelt holding the convertible car seat....we don't usually take our car seats out of our vehicles...so who knows how long it was just "dangling" like that.

My so was putting the baby in car seat and only bucked the chest strap because we hadn't left yet. He looked buckled in fully because he had a blanket over his waist strap. we clicked in his car seat and when we got home I realized he wasn't fully buckled.. I was like OMGGG!!!!!

I've done that once, I felt so horrible but luckily nothing happened and it was a short distance. I always double check now and slow down when putting him in the car. Sometimes I even look back in the rear view just to double check cause I still get nervous about it. It's okay, at least you know to be more careful and nothing happened this time
