when did your in laws visit new born

I'm not trying to be spiteful but when baby is born I don't want many people there the same day..

Just my mother, father, brother, nan and grandfather and his mother and father

I don't want all my inlaws there.

His 3 sisters and 3 brother in laws

Is that bad of me?

I don't see how that's fair to allow your family but not his? It's their grandchild as well. Unless there is some missing info here?

I don't think it's bad of you, but it's not fair to him. If your brother gets to go, his siblings should be able to as well. Just my opinion.

I am sure a lot of expectant mother are closer to there own family compared to there Inlaws it's natural. But you also have to remember without your spouse you wouldn't be pregnant let alone have a baby.

If you don't want them there the same day that's ok BUT that means it's only fair if no one else is there too. I'm planning on waiting til we get home from the hospital for ALL visitors.

I am sorry to say you sound completely selfish why can't your partners siblings visit your baby. Quite a few people in your family are going to visit your baby. Is there a reason why you don't want them there. Don't you think your partners is going to feeling hurt.

I think if you are allowing your close family to visit you should give his family the same courtesy.

I think that's fair. I'm a lot closer with MY family than I am my SOs family, and since I am the one who just popped a kid out, I will have those around me who I feel comfortable with. Too many visitors in one day is sure enough to stress you and the baby out. His family can always visit another day.
