What do you think I meant when saying "taking the last week off"?
I told my boss (who is also my MIL) that I'll be taking the last week of my pregnancy off to start my maternity leave and she agreed. Since I'm due next Wednesday I meant that today (Tues.) would be my last day and leave starts tomorrow at 39 weeks. She took it as I was working the rest of this week and my leave would start at the begining of next week (Sunday).
I feel bad for the miscommunication but I really want the time off. Plus since she's technically Grandma I'm not sure why she's upset and seems to think I'm trying to get out of working.
