marriage problem

I need a adivise. I have been married for 8 years, my husband is a good provider, helps around the house and is a great father. One problem in our marriage is that he is not affectionate at all. When we were dating and in our first year of marriage he was really affectionate and always gave me compliments but slowly stopped doing it. I told him many times that I need affection. He would always make exuses saying he is sorry and he will try but never does it. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't love me as he used too but he always says he is In love with me even more now but somehow I don't believe it. Personally I don't know if I can be in this marriage anymore. I do t know what to do, I know the grass is not greener on the other side. Did any of you ladies deal with this kind of problem in your relationship? Please help a sister out..
