Terrified

I got diagnosed with pneumonia this morning at the doctors after a horrible 3 days of no sleep and severe cough and congestion. Tomorrow they want to insert an IV and I am terrified of needles.... I get really bad anxiety just even thinking of them piercing my skin.....any advice??? Or should I just not do it?? I will be going alone too so not only am I anxious but I just don't have a good feeling about it. :'( this is going to be my first time.
