coffee & pregnant???

i am having MAJOR coffee cravings right now. i was wondering if it is okay to drink coffee in the first trimester? i'm sorry i know this is a silly question i just don't want the coffee to hurt the baby

Absolutely, it won't harm the baby to enjoy a cup! I drink one cup of coffee about 4 times a week. I *believe* you can have something like up to 200mg of caffeine in a day, so if you're drinking coffee just be mindful of other caffeinated things you may drink such as tea or soda.

My doctor told me 2, 8oz cups a day won't hurt anybody. I'm a huge coffee drinker too and I've been drinking coffee with all 4 of my babies. 3 are here and 1 will be here in October. Their fine normal kids. But anything over 2 cups is questionable. I guess. Sometimes I'll drink 3 cups. It just depends on how I'm feeling or somedays I'll drink 1.

I have 1 cup of coffee a day. It's perfectly fine each dr you have is different but mine says it's ok to have 1 a day. But I also don't drink anything else with caffeine.

Yes its fine personally i love coffee so i drink it at least one time a week but I wouldn't have any sodas or anything to go with it

I drank it all throughout (eventually switched to decaf so I could have a few more cups) and my son is just fine and will be 9 months on the second, drink away mama!
