How do you ladies manage sleep while having newborns?

How much time do your significant others devote to helping? Mine is at work so Im up at night and during the day. He takes over for a few hours when he gets back but those hours aren't enough to catch up on my sleep. Any advice? What do y'all do?

I breastfeed and bed share so I get plenty of sleep and so does my SO.

I was exhausted like the first two weeks lol
But I listened to the annoying advice of  "sleep when baby sleeps"
And after a few days, I didn't feel so sleep deprived. She slowly started sleeping longer during the night and stayed awake longer in the mornings and right before bed. She's gonna be 5 weeks and she sleeps about 5 hours at night and I nap with her throughout the day when I need it 😊

We don't have a set agreement. We both help with the baby as much as we can. Since I'm nursing, staying home and still recovering, I take care of anything baby girl needs at night or in the early morning and usually he will help me in the evening by holding her, burping her, soothing her, changing diapers and practicing skin to skin.

When I breastfed & co slept with my first it was easy getting sleep but this baby I'm not doing that again because now it was too hard to break my 3 year old out of co sleeping in my bed😩

Scheduling is key. Learn your baby's sleep/hunger​ cues so that you can maximize your time.

I learned to sleep/nap when baby does. My baby is about to be 2 months and for the past week he has managed to sleep for longer spans at night. He slept from 10pm till 7am last night. 10 till 6 the night before with only one diaper changing.

Also, don't be afraid to ask for help. I'm sure you want to take complete care of your baby but having a spouse/family member or friend of the family help once in a while helps significantly With decreasing anxiety and stress level.

My 3 month old been sttn since 2 weeks. Not sure what that means tho can't be good for my milk supply

All three of my kiddos would go back to sleep after a feeding and would sleep for about 3-4 hours at a time as infants. A feeding would last maybe 30 minutes.

Well I breastfeed so my husband can't help at night. I just wake up woth the baby, feed her, go back to sleep, repeat.
