Diaper Rash remidies?

My kiddo developed a nasty diaper rash.  I don't know how/why. We are changing him every couple hours liked we have always done.  This is his first big rash - like screams with diaper changes.  He's been pink before,  but those little rashes I've cleared up in a day or so with Desitin. Diapers and wipes haven't changed.  He's recently started eating more solids and his poop is changing because of it.  Also he's cutting his bottom 2 teeth (which can cause a rash per our daycare lady's experience). What can help it go away ASAP? I've been coasting him with maximum strength Desitin, but it hasn't helped one bit in the last 4 days.  I don't know what I should do? This hasn't happened before and I feel so bad for him and his little tush. Help!

Update: Thank you all for your suggestions. After one of you mentioned the antifungal- I remembered a friend had told me about a Magic Butt Cream (years ago when her kiddo had a rash). So I Googled and got the recipe.

Magic Butt Cream
Mix equal parts.
-Maximum strength Desitin
-1% clotrimazole (athletes foot cream)
-A&D cream
-Bactracin 
-1 tablespoon Maalox (reduces acidity)

It's been a day and a half and kiddos tushy is SO MUCH BETTER. It's not gone yet, but give it another day or 2 and it will be. 😀

I swear by honest company healing balm. It's not really preventative but it clears it up mega fast for us

Sounds like a yeast rash. Antifungal cream and bare bottom time. To help with diaper changes when my son had it, I would blow dry his butt (with low heat and standing further back so it wasn't too hot) after I wiped him and after baths to really dry him and the rash out. It really helped to soothe his tushy.

I just went through this my baby had a horrible rash for about a week I used what the doctor gave me but that didn't work so I went back to Aquaphor and Desitin and it worked like a charm every time

Breast milk is fab if not allow botty some air, then apply any moisturiser cream. My LO only had a napppy rash a handful of times and only when in a disposable nappy due to all the compants that go into making them x

My son had a horrible diaper rash when he was two weeks old and we found a&d ointment healed it quickly and then we use Boudreaux maximum strength cream to keep it away. He's never had a rash since.

Sounds like a yeast rash. Use lotramin, an otc athletes foot cream

Take him to his doctor and get a prescription strength diaper rash cream. After 3 days of rash with no improvement with over the counter diaper rash cream the baby should be seen by a doctor

My son had a diaper rash that I didn't know of because my mom changes him everytime she comes over well we end u staying at her house . And she took care of him while we were there to give me a break . Well since she didn't treat it it turned into a yeast infection . I bought coconut oil a while ago and I put it on his bum and it is cleared up ! It took about 4 days but each day it improved a lot ! Sometimes what I do also is put coconut oil on let him air dry and then put destin on and then diaper

Aquafor for babies. I get half a paper towel and wet it with water. Wash him off and with the other half of the paper towel I pat dry him. Let air dry for 10 seconds or so and apply Aquafor then diaper. 100% works. Disitine extra strength didn't work for us at all.

Triple paste is the only diaper rash cream that works for my daughter. It's a little pricey but worth it!
