Parents just don't understand!

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 3 years. I want a baby so bad. I already have a six-year-old from a previous my husband has a five-year-old from a previous this would be our first child together. My parents didn't seem to like my husband at first but their relationship is getting better. the other day we were at a barbecue at my parents house and some family members asked if we would be having more children I immediately said yes and that was the end of what I said but my parents interrupted very quickly saying whoa whoa whoa my mom said no I don't want any more grandkids. What advice can anyone give me or has anybody gone through the same thing on their parents just can't support your marriage?
