Sore Sex - Concerned about red bumps

Had sex for the first in over a year and it was horrific, for some reason I felt extremely tight however I wanted to do it, it also really hurt every time his penis would go inside me.. I didn't feel dry but I am worried that our sex life won't be the same... we have tried a few times but it hurts me every single time... does anyone know what this could be! Could I have something that's causing it to hurt so bad? The other day I bled. I'm really upset about this. I am now wondering if I had herpes although it doesn't look like any of the pictures however all of a sudden he has complained of a sore lip... I'm really worried. Help someone
