Moving soon.. bed bugs.
So me an my boyfriend are getting our FIRST apartment next month we been together 5 years now. There's just one small problem! I NEVER knew what bed bugs were until recently. We live with my boyfriends grandparents an his grandpa has bed bugs in his room we don't know where they came from but they're there an I'm so scared we'll take them with us even tough we don't have them in our room we have a old school metal bed frame an a thin mattress kind of like the ones that come on a futon, ever since I found out he's had them I've been super OCD! I legit wash our blankets all the time I've looked on our mattress but there's not creases or anything so I never find any. We put tape at the bottom of our door an if they try to come on they get stuck. All of our clothes are in our closet an I constantly clean it. We have no furniture just a small table for our tv an thats it. But I've seen one or two like on the wall or trying to crawl through our door. That's why we put tape.. when we move we are not taking anything but our tv an our clothes. I was thinking of sorting out everything an putting them in bags an let them sit out for a week or so just in case if there is any they would die. An then washing all our clothes in hot water an drying them. I just want some input on what else I should do? Or do I just sound crazy! Lol... We bought a new bed witch will be delivered when we settle in an a new couch. I'm going to by new blankets an pillows an sheets also. I'm just super nervous an I don't want them.. we keep telling his grandparents that they need to take care of it I'm pretty positive they'll just spread all over the house he already took them to the couches in the living room I know it'll get worse I'm just happy we'll be out soon.. If you have any tips on things I need to do or get before we move please feel free to comment We still need to get a lot of stuff toilet paper dishes etc. We already bought some stuff.. over all I'm super excited an happy it's closer to work also.
