how do I know?

How do I know for sure if he is the one and that is in love with him? Also how do I know that he is in love with me and not just saying he is still in love with me. I just don't want to get hurt a second time around.

I'm going to be that annoying person and say you'll just know. I absolutely hated when people would tell me that but then I met my SO and knew exactly what they were saying.

If you have to ask if he's the one and if you love him- that answers it. You'll know and there will be no doubt.

You will just know. When me and my husband first met it's like we knew right away. He is really my best friend. He knows what I'm thinking with out me saying a word. Even though if sounds cliche you really will just know.

I dated a guy for four years and thought I "loved him" but after it ended I was so not looking to jump into another relationship and when I met my husband everything was so easy and it just felt right. When he tells me he loves me there is not a doubt in my mind. The only way to let someone in is to let your guard down and so many of us are scared to get hurt but that's apart of falling in love. You will know. I promise. I did almost right away.

If he loves you, he will show it, he will wine and dine you, he will stare at you blankly, he will try make you as comfy and as happy as he can. Then he loves you, when he puts you before himself, and if you can see yourself together in the future, and u have this feeling to try and make him happy, then you love him too.

This might be cynical, so I apologize in advance. But I find this helps a lot of people not worry about absolutes and reassurance, like myself.
"The one" doesn't exist, it's more like "the 100". "You just know" is vague. You can spend your life with so many people, it just depends on the circumstances in youre lives.  DO NOT be afraid of getting hurt. If you're afraid, you won't open up, and relationships are about being vulnerable. You will never have solid proof of If someone truly loves you, a relationship Is trusting what someone says and believing it even though love is fleeting. And If it doesn't work out, it will with someone else. It's not the end, ever.

To me, "you just know" is feeling unconditional love, appreciation and respect towards your partner. You would drop anything to help them, DO anything for them, want them to always be happy, always be willing to compromise. They make you a better person, and vice versa. You see yourself having kids with them, going grocery shopping, all the monotonous things. Theu all seem bettrr with them. You feel safe and like everything is ok. If you spent you're life with this person, you would be 100% satisfied when you died, knowing you spent it with them.
"You just know" because you can FEEL the love from them, when you look over and notice them already looking at you. Maybe not all the time, but it's there. 
Don't get caught up in "the one" and "you just know" because statistically, you will NEVER know if someone is right for you until you're married. (Cyincal, sorry.) Most marriages end in divorcs the first 5 years (yipe)  and in sure they all said "you just know". You will worry yourself to the ground if you need to constantly have absoloute answers, im the same way. You just have to relax and enjoy. Relationships are like roulette. You don't really ever know if you're going to win, or not.
