Mirena IUD and St. John's Wort?

I've had my IUD for almost 9 months without any issues. I just recently bought this tea that has St. John's Wort in it and I know that the herb can affect the efficy of birth control pills, but I can't find any research on it's effect on IUDs. Does anyone have any experience or information?

Iuds are one of the best hormonal birth controls because no meds effect it. Since the hormones stay in your uterus. Other hormonal birth control circulates through your blood stream and when taking meds that interact with it, it can break down in your blood stream different and your body doesn't absorb the birth control correctly. The iud hormones stay in your uterus so you should be fine
