Guaranteed delivery?

I'm just information gathering at this stage, so please be kind. I'm due 12/30/17 and want the baby to be born in 2017, rather than waiting until January when my insurance situation may change. Is it possible to be induced on your due date without a medical reason? Are there things I can do now that will help guarantee a delivery before January 1st?

Not unless there is a true medical need

Just let things happen when they happen your child needs to stay in as long as possible it is not for your   convenience  if you go over into the new year then tough just learn to accept it

Your childs health should be more of a concern than you trying to beat a health insurance deadline

just depends on your doctor, talk to them about it. dont let anyone make you feel bad for your choice, your baby will be fully cooked so i dont see it as being selfish. its not like you're asking to be induced before your due date

A lot of drs (right or wrong is whatever) will induce you before the end of the year. With holidays and such a lot of women choose this. Ask your dr. Mine would offer induction in the 39th week if you wanted. It's different with different doctors.
