no period but no positive either

so we have been ttc for about 6 months...because of my health up until the beginning of the year I had been on steady dose birth control. Once I stopped the pills my cycle almost regulated ( for me...but I've never really been regular, hence the steady dose birth control) but the last two months I have not had a period, or spotting. The home pregnancy tests I've taken immediately say negative. Should I be doimg anything different? Could the other medications I'm on be making anything different? Doctor can't get me in until 6/20, been waiting 3 weeks to be seen.
