Twins and pregnancy test?

Ok so I've heard several things about this. Is it true you have more hcg with twins so sometimes the home pregnancy test have trouble testing right? I've been told I have a high level of hcg. I'm all confused and new to this stuff

My tests were the same with my singles as with my twins. No difference.

My friend had twins and every test she took only had faint lines until her ultrasound!

More hpt is good for the home pregnancy tests, so it should actually make it easier to read and sooner. I always had high levels even with my singleton pregnancies though. Only way to confirm twins would be with ultrasound.

Me too! I'm expecting twins. My lines are just really high and blood hcg level are very high! 47,000 at 5w6d. I'm currently 6w4d.
