Endometriosis

I've had problems with my cycles since they first started 6 years ago. Very painful, lots of clots, severely irregular, I have even missed up to 6 months. Glow keeps telling me to test for endometriosis. This month I was talking to my adoptive mother about it and she said it sounded like endo. I messaged my birth mother and she said she had it. She also had fibroids. I made an appt. with my obgyn for testing. They didn't tell me what the test would include. I forgot to ask. My appt. is next week. Can anyone tell me what to expect?
