Climate Change?

Question

Are you girls for or against laws/protocols trying to reduce emmisions leading to climate change. 
Most of the time people arguing against it mention the economic and money side...

But would you rather have a big nice house and kill the planet or let the planet live and maybe not have 2 cars and 4 tvs and shit.

I recycle, conserve water and use paper bags. 
But i will not live uncomfortable to save the planet.
I have 3 tvs, we live in an 2300 sq home and own 3 cars. 
One is a smart car. 
We live comfortable but we also try to help in the world. 
If u want to be able to watch tv in our bedroom,  I'll do so. If I want to take our tesla for a spin, I'll do so. Our daughters convertible car seat is big and we decided to go with an SUV. 
We do our share, we don't smoke, we don't drink, we eat healthy,  we recycle etc. But I will not go to extremes.  I also deserve to live comfortable, when I work 40 hour weeks, take care of a household and a child.
We live and do things in moderation.

Im all for it. Our future generations wont have a planet if we keep it up. I couldnt care less about the nice house.

I think it's selfish to knowingly continue to do harm to our planet just for convenience. I think all cars should be regulated to reduce emissions. Yes, I drive a Prius, and we are a one car family. I couldn't in good conscious drive a gigantic gas guzzling SUV simply so my friends will think I'm cool. This isn't directed anyone who legitimately needs a bigger vehicle, because I understand hauling kids and their sports equipment and so forth probably couldn't be done in a Prius. But my friend who's single with no kids who just bought a huge new SUV? We also recycle. I get used things when I can. I try not to waste food whenever possible. I think there should be more regulations on food waste.

It depends. If the law promotes development of sustainable technologies/companies in the form of tax breaks and maybe even preferential treatment (e.g. Fastracked planning permission for sustainable developments) then that's great. Regardless of whether climate change is a genuine threat to the planet or man made etc. Our dependence on oil and coal is a bad thing. Both fuels polite the air causing health problems and general unpleasantness. Our thirst for oil helps fund terrorism and prop up despotic regimes. However I do not support government scheme that prop up economically unviable renewables schemes-the only delay the process if finding a genuine solution by disincentivising investment in research and scientific development.

I'd rather have a healthy planet than material possessions and money, but I'm also a parent and the generations after me come first
