Is it ok for a restaurant use a rape situation to get more publicity?
She went to a club with her friends to have fun and decided to leave at 3 a.m. and go to her house but she couldn't find her car in the underground parking lot so a security guy pretended to help her and ended up taking her to the service stairs which there aren't cameras and raped her. The guy is in prison now and whoever this young lady is I feel pretty bad for her. A week ago a restaurant that is in front this club started posting about how sympathetic they are with the victim and encourage their clients to keep visiting the mall and their restaurant. This I really didn't mind at all, but today they made another post trying to build a publicity campaign saying No more abuse! And a hashtag #Idon'tallowiTTO (The post is in Spanish so they put #nolopermITTO) The name of the restaurant is Sushitto and it's a suhi place obviously but what I'm really pissed is that they're using this situation to made publicity and in my opinion adding de Itto at the end just emphasizes that they only care about their brand and not the victim at all. I was arguing with my best friend about this because she's a marketer/publicist and she told me that she doesn't see anything wrong with it, it's publicity and a very good way to promote a change and it's supporting the victim. I completely disagree with her so I ended the argument saying that this is like talking about religion and she has a different opinion about it and nothing wrong with it but I disagree with her. What do you think? In my opinion it's disrespectful for the victims that have been raped, specially this woman everyone is talking about. I may be wrong about but I wouldn't like it if I was her.
