Rash on little on ( baby is 7months)

Need some help to soothe little one. He has came out in a rash yesterday started just on his belly and back. It has now spread all over and seems to b itching him. We were at the drs yesterday who z its a viral rash. He has and hasnt had a temp lately or been sick for that matter. The dr never z hw long it wud likely last and if theres anything to ease it for baby. Has anyone experienced this and any advice.

Edit. Hes 7months i thought it was a heat rash to but didnt know it lasted so long
