why are some people so pressed on wanting to drink or smoke while pregnant?

And I HATE the idiotic statement of : " my parents smoked /drank with me and I-turned out fine-" orrr the variation:" I smoked/drank while pregnant and my kids -turned out fine-"
It's idiotic. U are literally gambling with ur child's life.
Smoking is proven to lower birth weight,  cause asthma in newborns, premature birth and even still birth.  Same with drinking.
And NO, it will NOT HURT THE BABY IN ANY WAY IF U QUIT SMOKING COLD TURKEY. ABSOLUTELY B.S.. NO STRESS ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT HURT UR BABY AS MUCH AS CIGARETTES DO. I COULD NOT care less if "Ur doctor " thinks so.. It's asinine to say that stress can KILL ur baby,  but smoking a pack a day is ok... asinine.

Because a lot of people out there are selfish. And a lot of them don't view their growing fetus inside of them as a real human being. Whether you believe life starts at conception or at birth I think we can all agree here that a fetus/baby can experience the toxic shit a mother puts into her body during pregnancy. The only one that has to suffer with those consequences is the child.

It's not being immature it's the pure fact of knowing you can't have something and it makes you want it even more it's human nature what happens when women look for taken men because they know there not supposed to have them and that drives them more to go get it or want it... that's just my opinion and that's the way I see it and sometimes women get cravings for alcohol and smoke like any other cravings it's weird but happens so don't judge

I hate this! Even more so I hate when people smoke with their baby in the car.

I live in VA, which as far as I know, it was/is against the law to smoke with a child in the vehicle..

I use to say my bestfriend was going to be a great mom. She loved babies. But after she got married, she changed so much.

She smoked her entire pregnancy, and I saw her smoking in a parked car with her baby in the back seat the other day and went off. She got irate. But seriously? If your parked, and your baby is in the back seat couldn't you at least get out of the vehicle and smoke? That way the baby won't have to suffer too. 🤢☹️

Ooh i was having my weekly glass of red wine and was enjoying it slowly. And planning on doing it this time around. Weirs thing tho- i craved beer
 The whole time. And in general i porbably have like 3-4 beers a year. Doc said no beer, no white wine. You can have red wine 1 glass a week. So i followes instructions :) love wine. And cheese. All kinds of cheese. And grapes .. I didnt smoke . i dont even know why i started again. So stupid
