Do you test before drinking alcohol?

I have a strong feeling I am not pregnant but I have been on metformin now for 2 weeks and going to a wedding this weekend and planning on drinking. I want to test just to make sure I'm ok to drink but I don't want to test because I know it will probably be negative. What to do?! 😐

I personally drank until it was time to test. I wasn't going to drive myself even crazier every month waiting for the BFP and not enjoying myself only to see another negative test.  Even if you are by chance pregnant, there is no harm being done to your baby, they don't share your blood stream for a few weeks after implantion.  They spend some time protected in their own yolk sac before a placenta even begins to form.     I say enjoy yourself!

You never know, it might not be negative. Better safe than sorry, you don't want to find out after the wedding that you were pregnant and had been drinking, I imagine you'd probably feel quite guilty and upset/worried about that, so just don't do it to yourself.

Last July I was planning on having a big night with my sister in law and even though I didn't feel any different or the slightest bit like I might be pregnant, I took a pregnancy test just to be sure I could drink because I knew my period was due sometime over that weekend... I was so sure it'd be negative that I even forgot about it for ten minutes before remembering to check it. POSITIVE! My three month old is breastfeeding now as I type this lol. Fingers crossed you have a lovely reason to avoid the alcohol at this wedding (: xx

I would test just to be on the safe side or make an doc appointment for blood drawn to check your hcg levels.
