39 days late

So I just started my period after being 39 days late. I am very disappointed as I was praying that I was finally pregnant. But I have a doctors appointment with my OBGYN scheduled for tomorrow, do you think I should still go and see why I was so late? Or just cancel it? I'm a little torn. I was going to get a blood test to see if i was pregnant, so not sure what the point is now. Not sure what the best thing to do is.
