I'm planning on making a doc. Appointment but I was curious on if anyone else has had the problem I'm having. So last Dec. I had switched birth control to the depo and I only had the one shot. So I got my period in late January for about 6 days and it had gone away for about 2 weeks and it came back and didn't stop until about the end of March. And then It started again April 22nd for about 4-5 days. I did not get a period for May and then it started again June 3rd and hasn't stopped since. Has anyone else had this problem from the depo? Or just in general. I thought the shot had wore off and it would go back to normal but I don't even no what's going on with me anymore.

That's so crazy. I should've never gotten the depo in the first place. I was thinking it would be okay for 3 months and then me and my husband could start trying for another baby but it was the worst decision ever. Oh well.. I hope it goes away soon.

I have been to my doctor about the exact same problem and have read so many different experiences. He said to me that every woman is different and it can take up to a year for it to come out your system and for your cycles to return to normal!

Basically you cannot tell when things will go back to normal, it's just a waiting game! Frustrating I know! It worries me but apparently it's very normal to have unusual periods after depo, my last shot run out on Feb, I had a period in April and then only got another one 7 weeks later on July 1st! Just have to wait and see until my next one turns up :(

Depo is terrible! I got two shots, and after my second, I was bleeding every single day. When it was time to go back for the third shot, I asked them to switch me to the pill. The pill finally got my bleeding to stop. It takes awhile for Depo to fully get out of your system.
