period for 13 days

I'm going on day 13 on my period and I have no idea why? This entire time it's been light (I usually have heavy periods for 7days) I've been drinking lots of water and it's helping but I'm still bleeding. I plan to have intercourse in 2 days with the loml for the first time. Please any tips ? Or is there something wrong with my body?
