opinions on this

So this is a little early to plan but I need opinions. I turn 21 in January and my bf turns 21  this december. We have been dating for 3 years and always had this idea that we celebrate mine big since I can't go do anything really for his. He's not a big drinker and neither am I. Ik most people go to bars/ clubs. But we always talked about going to Florida for the weekend and having drinks by the pool/ beach.  Well he's the deal for 3 nights it's going to be close to $1000 by the time we do hotel and plane tickets, food and all. We both work and go to school and haven't ever been on a real vacation yet. We can only go for a weekend. We are going to try and use his parents hotel membership thing to find it a little cheaper. I'm stuck between are we spending too much money already or do we just live once and do it. This is going to be my bday and xmas gift from him and then I will pay for some stuff too. What do y'all think? Too much money or just save now to enjoy ourselves??? Part of me is trying to be financially smart but part of me is like let's do this and then worry about it how much later. We are long distance so we don't go on that many dates and all
