Malcolm

We're thinking of family names so we can up with Malcolm James. It is the middle name of a grandfather on either side (Malcolm is from my side). I'm just not 100% sold on it. I keep thinking that maybe the name is too old. We would call him either Mac or MJ, but I picture the first day of school every year or when he's in the workforce will he like hearing Malcolm? What are your thoughts on the name?
